Yoga on the Go
I hope this finds you well as it's been a while since I coordinated a pop-up event. That's because I spent a good portion of 2019 attending over 200+ hours of Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) and became a Certified Yoga Teacher in March of 2020! A few of the new yoga teachers, including myself were starting to teach and set to start a new spring schedule offering yoga classes at the studio where we did our training. Unfortunately, due to COVID 19 our yoga studio owner had to make the tough decision to close for good. I gravitated towards the restorative and yin style of yoga and during the quarantine found myself constantly thinking how brining yoga to different locations would help others. So I purchased the equipment (mats, bolsters, blocks, towels, straps) with the intention of bringing Yoga on the Go various locations. During the long holds of restorative yoga, you allow your muscles to relax making it a good practice for busy lifestyles providing relief from any kind of stress. Postures are adapted from seated yoga poses on the floor with support to eliminate any strain. In these passive poses, the focus is on ease and release tapping into your "rest and digest state" vs. "fight or flight." You will also focus on your breath throughout while the instructor (that would be me) guides you into a relaxed state accompanied by music. I've been fortunate to have some good friends ask me if I would host yoga classes at their locations. I'm thrilled to share that, Yoga on the Go is offering restorative Yoga by the Pool overlooking Geneva Lake every Saturday & Sunday at 7:30 am at Harbor Shores on Lake Geneva Yoga on the Go is also excited to partner with Willow Design Studio in their brand new location at 115 N. Main St. in Walworth to offer Restorative Yoga classes every Tuesday at 6:00 pm. Click Here to learn more and register! On Saturday, June 20th, Yoga on the Go is also offering a Summer Solstice Restorative Yoga Class from 11:45 am to 12:45 pm at Lucky Break Acres Farm. Click Here to learn more and register! Space is limited in order to allow for social distancing. I hope you can join me for one of these events. and I would be happy to host a pop-up Restorative Yoga event at your location.
